QA Team Head

About the roleWe're looking for a QA Team Head to own quality across our applications, from setting the test strategy to signing off each release. You'll lead a team of manual and automated testers and work closely with project teams and DevOps.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate QA team members, including manual testers and automated testers.Define and maintain QA strategy, test methodology, standards, and processes across applications.Develop test plans, test scope, test approach, test schedules, and resource requirements for projects and enhancements.Review business and functional requirements to identify gaps, ambiguities, dependencies, and testability issues.Define appropriate testing levels, including functional, regression, integration, system, API, UI, and non-functional testing.Ensure test environments and test data are available and suitable for testing.Work with Automated Testers to establish and maintain automation frameworks.Promote API, UI, integration, and regression automation where appropriate.Coordinate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.Provide QA recommendations and quality sign-off for application releases.Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders on release readiness.Ensure post-release validation is performed for critical applications.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field.At least 10 years of experience in software QA/testing, including 3-4 years leading a QA team.Proven experience defining test strategies and test plans for medium- to large-scale systems.Strong understanding of testing levels and types: functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and performance.Hands-on experience with automation toolsExperience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
