CNC Grinder Setup/Operator

Overall Purpose: Why the Job Exists & What You Will Do:Set up, adjust and operate CNC Grinder to perform a series of grinding operations, such as Centerless/O.D grinding on components used for the manufacture of precision parts. Follow quality and safety rules and keep work area in a clean condition.Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the RoleWork from blueprints, process sheets, tooling instructions, and standard charts identify component/manufacturing specifications.Efficiently set up, adjust and operate grinding machines within department (i.e. CNC, Manual , OD and Centerless).Operates machine by loading and unloading parts and adjust machine settings as needed.Verify conformance of machined work-pieces to specifications using gauges and related measuring devises.Inspect work for correct dimensions and ensure that company quantity standards are maintained and complete required documentation.Compute such data as dimensions, rotation speeds, feed rates, and machining times.Perform basic troubleshooting and make appropriate adjustments.Work with Manager, Programmer & support teams to resolve problem situations as required.Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, and regulations.Document actions by completing production and quality logs.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications.
