Flexible part-time and PRN schedules based on your availability and client needs Day, evening, and weekend assignments depending on current openings Opportunities to work close to home Paid orientation and ongoing caregiver training Support from a responsive local office team Meaningful one-on-one client care Opportunities for additional assignments based on your qualifications, availability, and client needs What You’ll Do Depending on each client’s individualized care plan, responsibilities may include: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, personal hygiene, and eating Provide companionship, conversation, and social engagement Support safe walking, mobility, and transfers according to the care plan and your training Prepare meals and help with light housekeeping, laundry, and dishes Provide medication reminders; this role does not include medication administration Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs Use our mobile app for scheduling, clocking in and out, and documenting care Follow client care plans, safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and agency policies Maintain client confidentiality, dignity, and professionalism Qualifications Previous caregiving experience in home care, private duty care, assisted living, senior care, disability support, or a similar setting Two or more years of caregiving experience preferred Applicants with experience as a caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Direct Support Professional (DSP) are welcome CNA or HHA certification is not required for all assignments High school diploma or GED Reliable transportation to assigned shifts Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance when driving is required for an assignment Ability to successfully complete a national background screening Current CPR certification and TB documentation, or ability to complete these requirements before a client assignment Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and care documentation Dependable attendance, patience, compassion, and a professional attitude Schedule and Work Location This is an hourly, non-exempt position providing care in clients’ homes in Merrillville and surrounding Lake and Porter County communities.
