The Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in managing medical billing claims and ensuring accurate insurance collections, contributing directly to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Process and manage medical billing for various payers (Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid).Resolving outstanding medical insurance claims by ways of research and appeals.Ensure accuracy in billing by reviewing medical records, documentation and payer policies.Handle insurance medical collections and follow up on outstanding accounts.Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in billing practices.Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or issues. Ability to think independently, be self-motivated and perform duties in a precise and efficient manner.Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.Familiarity with DRG systems and medical collection processes is a plus.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.No Remote Work
